Maybe spring is coming after all, fingers crossed..

police fines, street lines & all round good times

Two weeks and it'll look a lot like that, except the country and people are going to be different. Feels awesome as the spring here is cancelled anyways.

Lady in Hakaniemi

I guess the spring never comes...

Lohja was superb! Lots of sleep was needed after that...

Moro! Lohja tomorrow!

three weeks till I see my birdy friend

I like my new 24mm Sigma but at times it fucks me with some focusing issues. Like with this duck photo. I'm 100% sure I focused on the bird but no, my Sigma decides to put the focuspoint 30cm behind the duck. Success! Have to be careful with that in the future. Or not, maybe off-focus is the new black&white!? Why duck? Well because my flight to see Barcelona-Turkey leaves in three weeks. Success!! And reason two: new Angry Birds Rio was released today! ULTIMATE SUCCESS!!

Our bus and the grand viking truck side-by-side somewhere between Kouvola and Mietaa. Dope!

memories from last summer

I remember one sunny afternoon from last summer. We were at Lapinjärvi on our training period of civil service. We had nothing to do so off we went and borrowed someone's car and drove to the nearest city - Kouvola. Of course the first stop was the grocery store nearby. Damn it was fun. Sipping beer at Tykkimäki and at the center of Kouvola. I also bought there my very much loved flamingo shirt (ignore the swedish style blogger whore). Why all this? Well, in a moment, I'm off to Kouvola once again. This time with Petri Nygård and the guys. It ain't going to be less fun, I'm 110% sure about that!

My tribute to all of those suffering in Japan. Just hang in there :(

A view on my way from work to home.

More spring hype! Maybe this kind of photography is a bit boring? Dunno.

14.3.11

So glad that this shit is finally almost over..

bicycle weekend

Above is what I produced few minutes ago. It's my bike, yeah baby. It's also related what I did for the weekend (and why I didn't post anything). On Friday the guys had built a small park and organized a freestyle jam session at Goexpo. A bit chilled riding and hosting the event there. Saturday morning we left to a party in Tampere where Sportax (bicycle shop I worked in Tampere) turned 20 years and my former boss 50 years.  So lots of good food and drinks with some great people - inevitably good times!

a piece of my daily tasks

Today's job assignment: meeting at MEK (Matkailun edistämiskeskus - Finnish Tourist Board).

comparing cathedrals

The Helsinki Cathedral bathing in the spring sun. But cause I'd prefer to watch Sagrada Familia bath under the Catalonian sun, I bought tickets to Barcelona next month. It's time to visit the newbie-barcelonian Jere there and do some business and enjoy our lives & bikes (& sangria).

Ps. Check out hellojere in order to find some turkeylicious photography straight outta Spain!

Some mega-masculine wannabe from Reckless Love.

birthday boys

I forgot to mention that I had birthday yesterday. Now you know. We celebrated them in Tampere where was once again Off the Hook club where I've been a residental photographer (kind of). And actually we had triple birthday to party for: Klaus (in the picture) turned god-knows-how-old (he's an old fart), Off the Hook turned three years old and I became a 18-year-old champ at midnight. It was a blasting night. One of the best during these three years!

Check the whole gallery here.

Where's Wald.. I mean Jenni Vartiainen?

still glam

Ahahha, I'm never quitting this glamour shit! That is Puma Swede. If you have never heard of her - KVG (kato vittu googelista). She came to dance in Petri Nygård's show as a surprise. Can't complain. Now she wants these photos, damn i'm in trouble. But she's lovely.

And then back to the "super"stars! That little man there with his guitar is Paleface performing!

My market square

I've lived in Helsinki for a year and week now. One year and a week by this market. It sure doesn't feel like it, I don't feel like a Helsinkian - and that's good. The market is delightful, I've loved it from the very beginning; all the fairs on Sundays etc. It's a shame I don't visit the cafés and booths more often.
