mr. snowstorm

Let's continue with the Emma-gaala photos from Saturday. This is my man Antti Tuisku. For the record, I didn't visit his hotelroom.

27.2.11

making sounds

Once again a small break here, I was too busy with Maja in her hotelroom.

Barbershop

I bought a new baby today :-)

1st & 2nd rules of photojournalism

"If your picture isn't good enough, you're not close enough." A phrase that can't be repeated too much. Robert Capa was the man. I'm kind of jealous to him (and manymany others) cause I've always wanted to do photography in combat on a war zone. That might actually be the only thing that irritates me of not going to the ordinary military service. (As if I would have had a chance to go Afghanistan or something after my training anyway.) The closest to crisis I've got were the hospitals in Kenya and Malawi, or the house visits to patients. Not complaining though, it was bad also.

Why am I speaking this? Because. Check the rest episodes too.

performance artist from Canada

This was our tour guide during our fort night trip to Thailand. He looks trustworthy, doesn't he?

i'm still traumatized

Sorry that I let you down (once again) yesterday but I was too busy shooting this beauty princess...

And all the eclectic photos from Saturday can be found here: Off the Hook with DJ Ionik. Like.

13.2.11

deep blacks and tender colours

Yesterday we danced the night away in Tampere where Off the hook was once again the place to be. After the new year, the image of the club has changed slightly and this time we modified that makeover visually into the photos. We aimed to a bit more classy and timeless look; so black and white with a pinch of delicate colours was the right road to walk. I'm fully satisfied how the photos came out. Damn it feels good to do things a bit different when you get the chance!

10.2.11

evacuee

I'm having an evacuee period at the moment. When I came from Estonia this Monday, I was greeted with a chaos in my apartment, thanks to my kitchen renovation.

See you in Barcelona

Finland just lost it's best feathered man today :( Now as we got our backs secured in Barcelona, remember to check out some sunny spanish street photos from Hellojere.com soon.

7.2.11

Simpel Session 2011 is now officially over and this year wasn't an exception from the past: dopest riding ever, best parties ever & roughest Monday ever. More about that some other day..

SS2011

A year has gone and once again it's time for our annual Estonia and Simpel Session boat trip. (Last year we flew there but nevertheless..) I can't still put all the fun and hilarity in to words. It's a impossibility. This year is going to be a lot different than the past years: Turkey is going to miss the whole funfair and it's unfair. As the hangover king of all times won't be this time among us, I'm predicting lots of power struggles. As if, there wouldn't be any anyhow...

1.2.11

Another tram photo! I can still remember the tram's sound from the time before I lived in Helsinki. Too bad it's only a memory, now I can only hear it like the Helsinkians hear it. Before it was the tone of something new and exciting, and now it has became a somewhat ordinary sound this city produces. Of coure the sound is the same - same same but different. The transform took only a couple of months, and at first I didn't pay attention to it all. Now I'm all transformed and it makes me sad.
