Things done changed

Okay, I'm now living in Turku as Turkey flew away to meet Elisabeth from England. It's kind of weird, because this apartment used to be so much full of everything those times I visited here. Now it's just me and boring hangin-around. Maybe things start to get a bit more lively as I'm heading to the night of Turku tonight. In the photo is our very own marathon runner during his exercise period.

Internet is not working properly, so I'll make it fast: Niki on chokehold on the dancefloor.

Devolution

Phew, a friend of mine from Turku moved to another country today. He left his apartment under my surveillance for February, so I'll be swimming in new waters soon. It's exciting and making me go bananas. Underwater footage from Lake Malawi again.

Some deep shit going down in a children's hospital in Nakuru Kenya.

Haaa, colourful lomo. Or lomoful colour. Either way, I like these colours - and the blue bottom in the corner also. And it was easy to do. Just open the back cover of film chamber while being wasted in Estonia.

More snow

and more black & white. Sorry if you get bored, there's soon to come more fancy colourful lomos. Taken through a shitty bus window.

We've been getting a lot of snow for the past days here in Finland. I think it's the first time this winter we get this much snow. It's fun to watch all the cars get stuck and people getting frustrated with all the snow they have to shovel away :-)

Yay lomos

Okay, now time for the Lomo photos. So last week I bought this Action Sampler Flash Lomo and I was lucky enough to take it with me to Estonia. The photos are so much fun! It takes four sequential photos in one film frame. This is some random lady busting dance moves in a bar. She's quite excited and you can see some bra if you're sharp-eyed enough.

Today was a really filmfull day for me. Besides these underwater shots, I got back two rolls full of photos from my new lomo. You'lle be seeing them later on. This is Mikael swimming in the Lake Malawi.

Feeling not-so-okay

Some bmx rider in agony after falling down with his bike. I had that same feeling on the last morning after two days full of Estonia.

19.1.09

Dazed and confused

I just came back home from Estonia. It was off the wall, once again. But now I'm feeling so unbelievably tired that I can't believe it's true. We met funny people on our way to Tallinn during the boat trips. This gentleman is one of them.

That time of the year

Oh, it's here again! Faster than I could expect. It came as a total surprise to me. Shit, I'm leaving to Estonia in 30 minutes. And I haven't even packed yet. I better get started. So no blogging until Monday. Have as super weekend as I will! Garret Reynolds doing a huge 180 in the 180 contest last year.

Off from the saddle again. Why on earth it has to be so dark in here?!

14.1.09

On the top

Today I took camera with me for the first time in Finland. It was fun to notice that there actually is something to take pictures of here as well. It was great feeling. Just like the feeling you get after climbing a steep hill with your bicycle and then hopping back on the saddle on the top of the hill.

13.1.09

More African photos, as (one of) you wished. Birds flying in v-shape. Taken during a safari at sunset.

Mr. Friday

Have you ever seen an African teacher and his classroom? Now you have. This is Friday, Jamali Friday. He is one of the few teachers in his region in Malawi. Did you know that we are damn lucky with our fancy blogs, interwebs and so on? Now you know.

Gaps

As you might have guessed I visited Turkey in Turku yesterday. It was superfun as always. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me this time. I'm quite dependent on the photos the others took, since they are filling the gaps of those amusing moments I can't recall.

10.1.09

Greetings from Suomen Turku!

Rööperi

I just came from the premiere of movie called Rööperi. It's also a district in Helsinki. And the movie is based on those hoods (surprise surprise). The movie was shit, thank you Solar Films. This man is also from Rööperi.

8.1.09

By the river

Things are definitely looking more brighter than before. If everything goes as planned, I'll might be spendind some time by the river soon.

7.1.09

Antidote

Haa, I took maybe an overdose of vitamins in the morning. I'm feeling a lot better. Or maybe it was the trip to Estonia that I realized to be really really soon. Geeee, you'll see our crew tampering the streets of Tallinn next week already!

6.1.09

Pure shitness

This has to be winter depression or something. I'm not feeling enthuastic at all. Everything is boring and impossible. All my energy is gone. That is why I have to post this boring and totally irrelevant photo of Italian man reading. And tomorrow I'll start to take my vitamins and jazz up.

5.1.09

Photographic bankruptcy

Kenian children reflecting from the side mirror of car.

After Africa I've been totally in photography bankrupt. I haven't got a single decent shot, if you exclude the party photos. In addition, I think that my photographs aren't the only thing that sucks at the moment; my whole life feels pretty boring as well. Well, maybe things start to look a bit brighter as there are few fairly amusing weekends glittering in the horizon.

4.1.09

New shit

So last night I was shooting for the first time parties called Off the Hook organized by Plauge. It was great, very different from the previous party gigs. More crazy-ass partying and that's the way I like it. In this photo one of the tired dj's after the busy night.

2.1.09

But most of the times I just feel like getting the hell out of here.

Thursday

2008 is over and 2009 here. It's great! Year 2008 was great - next will be better. I don't have clear visions yet but something including travelling might be ahead. That is sweet.
